so, yeah...i was glad to hear about that persistence of vision effect in film frames.

i guess that's what gives video its naked look, for lack of a better word.

Also i would like to know more about matt's software.

There was "red scare" type of movie in the late 80's with Kevin Costner which used a computer to clear up a photo in a similar way to what matt described. Some foggy blob became a wallet with an id which you could read or something.

Hey , Could somebody tell me why a sitcom like friends with such control over its lighting on a set would need to use such a fast film as 500T ? I understand that in 35 grain isn't such a factor but why not something like 200T which seems to be so common in feature work.
Oh and100 bucks says Three's Company was vid-ee-o.
And it has reared its ugly head on primetime ABC as recently as the mega popular Home Improvement. A show that to me looked as bad as She's the Shariff and Small Wonder. El cheapo looking shows that now burn in sitcom hell where they belong.

    here."

Well, that certainly says a lot about those that you admit did have a problem. They simply went somewhere else! Thanks for proving my point.

    Continuing, you claimed:

"In fact, you are the primary force in this agenda of yours to smear me with a "posting style".

My, if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black. No agenda, Alex. But the frequency of times you are called on something you write is totally in your control. You want it to stop? Ask me straight out to not comment or be more careful what you write. Beyond that, it is obvious that you go out of your way to try and pick a fight with me.

But here's the nut of the matter. You wrote:

"So don't think for a moment that your 7 weeks here carries more weight than the 9 months that preceded your time here...it may for you, but only for you."

What does length of time on this board have to so with anything other than your weird notion of "seniority" or "immunity" to being accurate or truthful in your posts? Maybe you had a free ride before I came here simply because no one else was willing to call you on some of your nonsense.

    Regarding such you wrote:

"Just don't think you are the mouthpiece for others."

The thought never occured to me, Alex. But I find it amusing that you equate the silence of others with some sort of exhoneration on your part after pointing out that people who have a problem with you don't post here regularly. Now why would that be, I wonder? More importantly, I can't help but notice that others aren't jumping up in droves in your defense, either. Does the silence of others on that matter therefore exhonerate me and make me right?

I don't consider myself the "mouthpiece for others". But don't think for a moment that people aren't dissatisfied with your behaviour simply because you hear nothing. They just don't have the energy or inclination to play "king of the hill" with you so they say nothing.

I tell you what. I'll do you a favor and become one of those people, too. I will never comment on one of your posts again, even if you comment on one of mine. Then you can pretend you're right all the time.

    There. You win.

Alex:" Before you posted on this forum, I recall one post out of the first 600-700 posts that I had made where someone called into question a comment I made.

    Just one!"

    Ahhhh, this explains a lot.
Longing for the good old days......

So I guess that must mean Alex was right everytime ... or does it mean that no one has the right to question him now...or does it mean that if a tree falls on this hostboard and no one notices it, Alex is always right?
    Just what does it mean?

Well, Chas and Matt P. have conveniently left out one sentence....

    Now that is pretty self-explanatory.

As I said earlier, I'm no longer surprised by this "selective quote technique", but it is not the most honest use of your communication skills.

Roger, you don't need to go there, especially when you weren't even here!

No need for you to guess on the history of this board.

The board has steadily grown over the last year....There were about 10-15 regular posters before I showed up....most still post here, along with hundreds of posters who have come on board in the last 4-6 months....anyone can click on to the entire history of this board, back to the very first topic posts made by Mike Brantley, to see how this board actually grew....although I wouldn't recommend that unless it is raining flying pigs outside.

On a humerous note, I must give kudos to Trevor for so eloquently naming this topic

Digital Projection vs Blow up Projection...

    Who knew!
